Independent Bookstore Day was established in 2013 to promote, celebrate, and highlight the value of the independent bookstore community. The day has been observed on the last Saturday of April every year since 2013. There are over 1,400 stores participating across the country this year.
Join us at Moon and Back Bookstore to celebrate our first Indie Bookstore Day! We will have raffles, freebies, and a few surprises in store! And don't forget to stay for storytime at 2:30pm.

North of Boston Book Trail Passport Challenge
Saturday April 26th + Sunday April 27th
The North of Boston Book Trail a group of 19 independently owned bookstores in the region North of Boston working together to bring more book lovers – both locals and tourists – into all of their shops. The Trail showcases the unique character and charm of each bookstore, while also highlighting the diverse literary community in the area.
By working together, these independent bookstores hope to create a greater sense of community and to foster a love of reading and books across the state.
*Special Hours!* Moon and Back will be OPEN Sunday 11am-4pm for the NOBBT Challenge!
How to Play
Visit as many bookstores on the North of Boston Book Trail as you can Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th. At each stop, get your FREE custom passport booklet stamped! Passports will be available at participating stores. No purchase required to participate.
At your last stop of the weekend, ask for a completion form from the bookseller to provide your information and mark where you visited to be entered in the prize drawings.
